Mike`s Marine Projects
Since November 2005 I am in charge of Marine Projects for MGE in Germany. On board of big cruise-liners, there is a need for the supply of - so called - safeguard consumers. For this purpose a small number of our UPS systems is installed on board of each ship. We used PW, and later G5000 systems.
Queen Mary 2
In Novemver 2005, the biggest cruise-ship of all, the QUEEN MARY 2 visited Hamburg harbour for her regular maintanance and was docked by Blohm & Voss. This was the first time for Mike to enter such big ship and to get some impressions about the installation on board. MGE France is one of the supplier of the safeguard consumer supplies. MGE Florida is responsible for the maintanance work on board. Actualy, MGE Germany is just "backup".
